Steve Errey – I know the exact moment that you’re talking about. I think it hit me when I bit into that perfect peach! Also, I’ve been to Greece and would highly recommend it. The beaches are much cleaner than in NY. : )

Gray – It really was absolutely perfect. I’m so glad I did it!

Chris – Despite my not-so-secret love affair with all things scientific, that sucks, my dear. : )

Honey – Sounds amazing! I’ve never been to the mountains, so who knows, I might feel the same one day! So glad you’re enjoying your break.

hubman – I miss it too, but I make sure to get back there at least a handful of times each summer. It’s so worth it.

the eternal list – Although there are great beaches across the country, Jones is definitely the best in the NY area, in my opinion. Worth a visit. : )

I have been in Colorado for 5 days visiting a friend, and I can now say definitively (since I lived in Florida for 15 years) that I prefer the mountains to the beach. I just love those moments of peace you get – it’s completely self-indulgent but so amazing. You can literally notice that moment when all the spiralling, spinning “stuff” slows and stops, and all you’re left with is you.

Simple. Quiet. Graceful.

I’ve been thinking of finding a bargain weeks holiday in Greece just so I can completely chill out for a week. I’m hopping onto Expedia right now
