In response to guy #3, here’s the update: Apparently it was his friend’s girlfriend’s birthday or someting and they had all planned on hanging out in that neighborhood on Sat. night, completely independent of my plans (or so he says). I think I actually believe him, though. Sounds innocent enough, and he wasn’t there at the same time I was, so I doubt he saw me. I think all is well on that front.

As for guy #1 – hopefully I’ll never see that creep-o again. Guy #2 – next time I hope he at least says hello first! Geez!!

I actually don’t think #3 is that bad. Note he said he and his friends, so it’s possible he had plans to visit that ‘hood bar for days and it was coincidental that you also were also going. What would have been sketchy is if he went by himself, magically found you, and then tried to insert himself into your group. I would calibrate to his responses and take it from there.

I would cut the third guy a break. You said the bar was right around the corner from his apartment, so I think it’s totally plausible that one of his friends would say, “let’s go to XXX bar since it’s nearby and fun.” What’s he going to say? “No, this girl I’ve been chatting with online is probably there and that might be creepy if I just show up?” Just saying… seems totally reasonable to me.
