If it had come out two years after American Idiot, I'd have been fine with it. To wait half a decade to come out a watered down version of your previous album though, that's just kind of crappy. Their "Foxboro Hot Tubs" side project album they came out last year was way better than this thing. It's been an off kilter year for music anyways. All the good stuff I've bought has been in the past couple months anyways, with the exception of the new New Found Glory and A Day To Remember albums that came out at the beginning. Hopefully the 2nd half of this year comes out better with the new Thrice album today, and stuff from Brand New, The Menzingers, Against Me! and others coming in the 2nd half. So I recorded Time of Your Life myself just for the sheer hell of it. Injected it with more fun that angst and had a great time. Very impressive song writing.
