Honey - Yeah, but what will be even more interesting is how this plays out from here... if at all. Only time will tell.

LostforWords - Me too. I was surprised that he even suggested it, totally unprompted by me. I was going to ask, but beat me to it. Shocking!

Elisa - Thanks. I'm most certainly proceeding with caution, especially considering that I haven't heard from him in a week. Whatever. We'll see where this goes, if anywhere. If nothing else, I had fun last week with him. : )

Nicole - Hahaha, thanks!

SheComesFirst - Who the fuck knows WHAT is going on with the STD situation. I'd say there's a 95% chance I got it from NYL, based on the timing. It could have also been Hot Marine or the NMP. All 3 have told me that they've been tested and came up clean. So WTF, right???

Hmmm... so if you didn't get it from NYL, then who DID give this nasty STD to you? Maybe that no longer matters.

Of course he should be willing get tested again before you guys sleep together, in light of the fact that you're pretty damn certain that you got the STD from him. He'd be a complete jerk-off if he refused.

Awww, don't think that he'd run away from you! You sound like a really nice gal so don't put this dude above you.

Glad to hear things went well, good luck!

Yeah, I have to say, utmost of kudos to you for having what was most definitely a very awkward but necessary conversation. Especially in the position...umm...situation you were in. :P

That being said procession with that self-same caution is probably still a good course of action. Of course that doesn't mean that you can't *occasionally* get a little schmoopy faced thinking about such a great date!
